Here is the full video of the town hall I conducted with Americans across the country earlier this week.

At the event (presented in conjunction with the Political Voices Network), you can hear my latest “stump” speech on the Big Bad 4 challenges that Joe Biden confronts (long-term economic decline, angry populism, the absence of meaning, and polarized partisanship) – as well as the Q&A with Wide World of News readers.

And if you would like to enjoy your own customized version of my speech and ask me questions of your own, you can book me by videoconference or in person to speak to your organization or business.

“We operate on the premise as historians that by and large there is nothing new, the details change, but the fundamental story is traditionally the same and it rhymes and sways.  Words fail us in this situation.”

-- Jeffrey Engel, Southern Methodist University presidential historian, as quoted in the Wall Street Journal

On Friday, president-elect-presumptive Joe Biden is expected to meet in person with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, as well as name additional members of his White House staff, after on Thursday meeting virtually with many of the nation’s governors, addressing his views on combating the pandemic, teasing the naming of a Treasury secretary choice for around Thanksgiving, batting around/away a question about the strength of the dollar, and being declared the victor of Georgia’s electoral votes after a Peach State manual recount.

Biden….Biden….Biden….??

Eh, doesn’t ring a bell.

Back to Trump.

This is a pretty remarkable chyron from a media outlet that refused to air even a second of a 1-hour, substantive COVID briefing from the docs and military brass in charge of vaccine efforts, supply coordination, and state partnerships. @CNN

This is harassment pure and simple. This ‘inquiry’ by NYC democrats is 100% motivated by politics, publicity and rage. They know very well that there’s nothing here and that there was no tax benefit whatsoever. These politicians are simply ruthless.

Mike DuHaime, a longtime GOP strategist, said it was time for reality to set in for the Trump campaign.

“Donald Trump lost,” he said in an interview. “We shouldn’t be telling people it was fraud when it wasn’t.” He added that many Republicans “who do know better are sitting silent right now out of fear that Donald Trump may or may not support them in 2022 or 2024.” (Wall Street Journal)

That press conference was the most dangerous 1hr 45 minutes of television in American history. And possibly the craziest. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you’re lucky.

At first, officials said, Trump seemed rather deflated with the election results and only going through the motions of a legal fight. But his attitude changed in recent days. Although Trump has long vacillated on Giuliani, he has been buoyed by the former New York mayor’s energy — and, after so many other advisers told him he was unlikely to win a second term, by Giuliani’s proclamations that he just might, two campaign advisers said. Legendary college football coach Lou Holtz told ABC Columbia Thursday he tested positive for COVID-19.

The 83-year-old Holtz, who coached South Carolina football for six seasons, is currently recovering from the virus.

“I don’t have a lot of energy right now,” Holtz said Thursday.

This could be the end of every edition of Wide World of News for the next two months at least (from Dan Henninger’s Wall Street Journal column):

What happens next with Donald Trump is beyond human understanding.
