“Strategists on both sides caution that the election environment remains deeply unpredictable.”
— Sentence from the New York Times Labor Day midterm kickoff curtain raising thumbsucker that I will likely repeat in every edition of Wide World of News until November
****
If you have all the time in the world today, you can read the very straightforward Associated Press midtermer, with mentions of President Biden’s Monday stops in uber battleground states Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
You can also read the latest from the slow-rolling Wall Street Journal poll, but these numbers should be consumed keeping in mind that New York Times sentence above with which I am so taken.
And only read the New York Post story on the role of Tony Bobulinski in the Hunter Biden probe if (1) you work in the White House counsel’s office; (2) you think this investigation could explode the ‘22 and/or ‘24 elections; (3) you are a student of media bias; or (4) you still have time on your hands.

This edition of Wide World of News has been short not because I didn’t try my hardest but because the news wheel is turning slowly on this holiday day.
