Mark,
As always, just a super job on all the varied pov’s and analysis you are exploring. Always incredibly insightful and unique.
I never voted for Donny. His prevaricating is an aspect of his scattershot approach that I have come to view with indifference. It pales in comparison to the insidious gaslighting of the Biden admin. I found that much more shameful.
I just cannot understand how establishment left and neocons still advocate for continued carnage in Ukraine. It needs to stop. I could care less about the theatrics in the Oval, all the hand wringing about Trump blowing up all the supposed sacred foreign policy and diplomatic ‘norms’ that have generated pretty awful outcomes the last 30 years. That many establishment elites do not prioritize the end of all the pain and suffering of the Ukrainians is so disappointing and baffling.
I like what Trump is doing in theory and it is the only strategy out there that would result in a cease fire in the short term.
I feel like the Dr. at the end of Bridge Over the River Kwai who shouts ‘Madness, madness’ after witnessing the chaotic finale.
Keep up the amazing work.
Best,
